Topics include concepts in thermodynamics; amino acids; protein structure; three-dimensional structures; folding; dynamics; structural evolution, purification, and function; sugars; polysaccharides; mechanisms of enzyme action; metabolism; glycogen metabolism; glycolysis; and gluconeogenesis. Recommended for laboratory science majors and preprofessional students in all medical fields. Prerequisite: CHE 241. Corequisite: BIO 290L. F
