SUR 221 - Preparing for Board Certification II2.00 credits The second of two courses that will prepare the surgical technology student to successfully participate in the National Board Certification Examination will review concepts relating to surgical technology, including surgery in all specialties with an emphasis on test-taking strategies and skills. Topics covered will include general, obstetrical, gynecological, genitourinary, head and neck, plastic and reconstructive, orthopedic, neurological, ophthalmic, thoracic, cardiac, and vascular surgery. Prerequisites: SUR 220 with a grade of “C” or better. Corequisites: SUR 201C, SUR 211.
