HIM 292 - Exam Prep: EHR

This class will help prepare students for the examination from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Students will review the core curriculum identified by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) for successful application in Electronic Health Record Specialists. (EHRS) Tutorials will be used throughout the class to prepare students to complete the practice assessment exam administered to familiarize students with the types of questions and formats encountered on the exams. Completing the EHR Certificate, the HIM AAS degree or paperwork for the petition to graduate must be completed before the student can complete the exam(s). The exam will be administered at KCC. The fee per tutorial and one exam attempt is included in the course fees. Recommended: Completion of the HIM AAS, Electronic Health Record Specialist certificate, or the Medical Administrative Assistant Career Pathway Certificate.
