MFG 291 - Advanced Manufacturing

A follow-up course in metal removal processes - emphasis on increased knowledge in conventional, conversational NC and CNC drilling, milling, and lathe processes, including tool grinding. Course stress will be on the use of various types of conventional and CNC processes, planning, concepts, and machining. All lab practice will be on all conventional and CNC platforms available to the student. Prerequisite/Corequisite: Prerequisite/Corequisite: Completion of all CAM coursework and instructor permission. Recommended: Completion of all CAD coursework.
