Hands on activities associated with HIM 234 Advanced Medical Coding didactic class. This lab will allow students to participate in coding software [encoder] and inpatient case studies; students will have to abstract information for code assignment from diagnosis, procedures, and therapies from the medical record via case study or simulated software. Corequisite: HIM 234.
