BUS 230 - Applied Knowledge and Skills for HR Professionals

This course provides an opportunity to integrate content from student experience in HR topics with real-world scenarios in an HR environment. The course covers best practices related to talent acquisition, employee performance and development, compensation and benefits, and retention will be reviewed, with a focus on the use of technology throughout these HR functions. HR’s impact on organizational design and the promotion of a healthy, ethical workplace will be explored, and strategies that support both the organizational goals and the employees will be identified. Prerequisites: BUS 224 and BUS 226Z with a grade of “C” or better.
