COS 121 - Esthetics Theory

1.00 credit
This course provides foundational knowledge essential for Esthetics students to prepare for clinic/lab sessions and to meet the requirements established by the Oregon Board of Cosmetology. Students will critically analyze and apply concepts in client relations, infection control, physiology and histology of the skin, skin care products, skin analysis, basic facials, facial massage, temporary hair removal products and procedures, microdermabrasion, body wrapping, makeup artistry, and electrotherapies. The course must be completed with a 75% or higher. Corequisite: COS 121L.
