WFS 270 - Basic Air Operations (Ground/Air)

This course provides an introduction to aircraft types and capabilities, aviation management, and safety protocols for flying in and working with agency aircraft. Students will learn about the tactical and logistical uses of aircraft, as well as the requirements for helicopter takeoff and landing areas. The regulations, procedures, and policies covered in this course primarily govern federal agency and ICS operations. Students from state, county, or other political subdivisions should consult their respective agencies regarding specific regulations and policies.
