Manufacturing Engineering Technologist Certificate

One-Year Certificate of Completion

The Manufacturing Technologist Certificate incorporates introductory manufacturing process to provide hands-on experiences emphasizing drilling, milling, and lathe processes. The certificate skill sets align with industry-recognized proficiencies that qualify a graduate to apply for entry-level positions as an engineering technician, computer-controlled machine tools operator, and/or numerical tool and process control programmers.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:

  1. Create products that adhere to print specifications and meet form, fit, and function.
  2. Create and plot 2D, 3D, and solid models with standard notations.
  3. Create detail parts, assemblies, drawings, presentations, plans and analysis tools that fill all informational needs for shop floor fabricators.
  4. Analyze manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure products meet industry competitive standards.
  5. Create plans, programs, and processes that match industrial best practice.
  6. Use powered systems and tools safely and effectively.
  7. Use computer applications in the design and manufacture of products and processes.
