NSG 150 - LPN Transition to ADN (didactic)

This course introduces the experienced LPN to the concepts of nursing practice and conceptual learning. Principles of evidence-based nursing practice will include the identification of clinical practice problems, the evaluation of available evidence, and the integration of evidence with clinical expertise and patient preferences in application to practice. Students are exposed to the core competencies that define the roles and responsibilities of an associate degree nurse. Emphasis is on expanded scope of practice, nursing process, and application of appropriate evidence-based protocols across the lifespan. Prerequisite: Formal acceptance into Advanced Placement program status. Corequisite: NSG 150C. As Announced
