Klamath Center for Education and Training (K-CET)


The Klamath Center for Education and Training (K-CET) offers options for students seeking to earn a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate, improve their academic skills, or improve their English language skills. K-CET, located in the Work Skills Technology Center, is an excellent place for students to begin their educational journey and gain support in building a pathway to post-secondary education, workforce training, and improved employment opportunities.

K-CET provides a variety of resources to support students, including:

  • dedicated online instructors to guide students through online coursework;
  • hybrid class delivery (Zoom and face-to-face);
  • a flexible, safe place to learn in a respectful college environment;
  • access to scholarships or tuition support;
  • academic and goal planning,
  • resume building, 
  • exposure to career pathways; and
  • guidance through the progression of continued education or workforce training.

GED/ABE Classes: 

GED classes are for individuals aged 16 or older who do not have a high school diploma. Instructors prepare students to pass GED tests and earn a GED credential available in English and Spanish. In addition, GED students receive self-paced instruction in language arts, math, science, social studies, keyboarding, and workplace skills. Students who already have a high school diploma but wish to improve their academic skills may enroll as an adult basic education (ABE) student. Morning, evening, and online classes are available each term.

*Students ages 16 and 17 must be released from compulsory attendance from their school district before enrolling in the program.

ESL Classes English as a second language (ESL) courses are designed to improve English language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Morning and evening classes are available each term.    

ESL and Citizenship Preparation Classes:

Citizenship Preparation Classes: Citizenship Prep courses are offered once per year during the winter term. These courses help prepare students who plan to apply for U.S. citizenship.
