HIM 282 - Quality Improvement in Healthcare

This course investigates application and analysis of quality management, utilization management, risk management, and their related studies. Also covered is the analysis of clinical data to identify trends that demonstrate quality, safety, and effectiveness of the healthcare system. Abstraction of data for facility-wide quality management and performance improvement programs is also presented. In addition, review of registries, (cancer, disease, diabetes) indexes and databases are attained. AHIMA V-lab is included. Prerequisite: HIM 205. [F]
