Message from VP of Student Affairs

Dear Students;

Welcome to KCC and the next steps toward your educational and career goals! Our job in Student Affairs can be put simply:

• Make sure you have ample,excellent support services to succeed in your goals.

• Support your commitment by not settling for an outcome less than your success.

• Encourage you to stretch the horizons of your future for meaningful,quality work and life.

We ask that you be a dedicated student. Being a college student requires new knowledge and abilities, just like a new job. We have resources to help you learn those skills at a level you may not have yet encountered. Be sure to connect with those services whenever needed.

I also encourage you to take a little time each day to visualize and renew your goals. Can you see yourself at class on time and prepared? Walking across the stage at graduation? Landing that job in a field you care about? Transferring to a university? Begin now by clearly picturing your success, and keep your eyes on your goal every day. We will help you get there.

Your vision of reaching your goal may be just a strong hope today - but tomorrow we will see you at graduation!

Sincerely,

David L. Minger
Vice President of Student Affairs
