Message from the President


Dr. Roberto Gutierrez, PresidentDear Students,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Klamath Community College for the 2022-2023 academic year. At KCC, student success is our highest priority. Our commitment to success is illustrated through the College’s mission and core themes, which focus on foundational skill development, academic transfer, workforce training, and community education.

We strive to provide a safe and stimulating environment in which you can gain a high-quality education and experience personal growth. This catalog is your guidebook to KCC and all that we offer. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with it, and do not hesitate to ask a faculty or staff member if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to help and to ensure that your experience at KCC is positive and memorable. Your success is our success!

New programs and initiatives have expanded our academic and delivery offerings, making it easier than ever to fit college classes into your life. KCC continues to offer both in-person instruction and distance education offerings, while seeking new and innovative ways to utilize technology to better serve our students. Details on new programs, courses, and course availability can be found within this catalog.

An example is our new Apprenticeship Center which opened in Winter of 2023. Housed in the Apprenticeship Center are many college programs including, Advanced Manufacturing, Carpentry, Cement Mason, Drywall Taper/Finisher, EMT, Fire Science, High School Equivalency, Industrial Electrical, Interior Electrical, Machining, Millwright, Painter, Pipe Fitting, Plumbing, Welding, and Wildland Fire.  These programs will enhance career development, provide long term career opportunities and develop important skill sets that will grow our local economy.
