One-Year Certificate of Completion

This certificate offers training and education for those wanting a fire science career and for career or volunteer firefighters seeking advancement. Students learn about fire behavior and equipment as well as suppression techniques.

Program Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate safe use of fire suppression equipment in training situations.
Identify safety risks using principles of structural fire behavior.
Use defensive and safe driving techniques in the operation of emergency vehicles.
Predict fire behavior in a variety of conditions.
Evaluate the effectiveness of teamwork in simulated emergency scenarios.
