Introduction to the American Society of Addition Medication (ASAM) six dimensions of assessment and placement criteria for persons who are misusing or abusing substances. Students will gain an understanding of the relationships between assessment and intervention planning for those who are misusing or abusing substances. Students will also learn about the correlation between substance abuse and mental health issues.
