Catalog 2023-24 [ARCHIVED CATALOG]

Message from the Vice President of Academic Affairs

Welcome to Klamath Community College. Our Academic Affairs team has developed a broad array of course offerings to provide the greatest level of choice and flexibility to equitably support student access and educational success.

In this catalog, you will find that KCC continues to expand learning opportunities for our students. KCC offers 33 associate degrees, 20 one-year certificates, and 24 less-than-one-year pathway certificates. These stackable pathway certificates and one-year certificates roll seamlessly into KCC’s associate of applied science (AAS) degrees and are aligned with industry-recognized certifications. Fourteen of KCC’s degree options are offered on-line. KCC offers several transfer degree options. The AAOT, AST, and AAT degree options are specifically designed for transfer to Oregon universities.

KCC students have access to courses in a variety of learning modalities, including courses delivered: face-to-face, online, hybrid, and hyflex. Hyflex classes are new to KCC; they integrate distance delivery and in-person instruction modalities. Students are given choices in how they participate in the course and engage with material in the mode that works best for them during the course and from session to session.

To provide consistency across multiple instructional modalities, all KCC courses utilize Canvas-a user-friendly, widely adopted, and technologically advanced learning management system that provides students with 24/7 access and supports.

KCC also offers a host of support resources that are available for students both on campus and off campus. We support a variety of services for counseling, advisement, tutoring, testing, career planning and employment.  In addition, students are encouraged to utilize our new health and wellness center and actively participate in fun, interactive student government activities and clubs.

Thank you for choosing KCC and letting our friendly staff and faculty assist you with reaching your personal, academic, and professional goals.

Student Success Matters Most,

Jamie Jennings
